Please use our feedback form. It's less likely than email to be caught accidentally in a spam filter. We try to minimize messages by other methods, such as faxes, paper mail, telephone, multimedia CD-ROMs, stone tablets and so on.
If you have long documents or web pages that you want us to look at, please don't email them in an attachment. Tell us briefly about it using our feedback form, preferably URL are best published on the Web. And please don't send anything confidential.
If for some reason you can only use email,
choose the appropriate
user name
from the end of one of the following
items,
and email
that user name@junkbusters.com.
(Please don't try to email
by clicking on the link in the previous sentence;
it's
``bot bait''
intended for
``harvesting''
robots that
scavenge
the Web for addresses to spam.)
We don't really encourage phone calls or physical mail. They're harder to handle efficiently than online communications, and we don't like the junk solicitations that come with them.
You can get to our feedback form
by clicking on any of the
symbols
at the beginning of each heading
or through
certain textual links
throughout the site.
The form allows you to send us comments without revealing
your email address, though your
IP
address is of course disclosed.
The form includes a slot for telling us the URL of a document you have published or wish to draw our attention to, along with any information you wish to add about yourself and the background of your comment.
You can also use it without any URL, by leaving your message in a few lines of free-form text. This is handy for reporting a typographical error or making a brief comment.
After you submit the form we return a formatted HTML version of it to you, in case you want to publish on your web space. Once it's there, an easy way to request Altavista to index it is to click on the ``Comment ID'' field, which gives you a menu of options including that request.
Be skeptical about any unsolicited communications you receive claiming to be from Junkbusters. Email headers are notoriously easy to fake (apparently president@whitehouse.gov has been a favorite in the ``From:'' field of fraudsters), so expect any email from us to be brief and to point you to the relevant page on our Web site. Be especially suspicious if you are asked for money or private information, both of which are contrary to our policy. If you get any such communications, please tell us through out feedback form. We're sorry to have to warn you of the possibility of such frauds; we hope it never happens to you.
